About the Event

We know that for young adult grievers, the stress and toll of grieving is emotionally, mentally and physically exhausting. Couple that with the stresses of the pandemic, work, personal life and the pressures of keeping up appearances and we’re faced with a recipe for emotional and mental calamity.

Throughout my grief journey, I have learned that each day isn’t the same and the rollercoaster of emotions my brain is processing on a daily basis can also vary. One day I’m happy - ready to conquer the day, and another day I’m sad and don’t want to leave my couch. In those highs and lows, I found that it’s important to talk through my feelings and how I’m processing them so I can better navigate my grief, but also to figure out self-care and wellness coping mechanisms that will enable me to better take care of myself in the midst of my deep pain.

That’s why we wanted to curate this wellness workshop, with guest speakers and experts across grief, mental health, and wellness. The goal of this workshop is to provide you with a shared understanding that 1) you’re not alone in how you’re feeling 2) there are ways to better cope and navigate these feelings and 3) it’s okay to give yourself a little self-care to make sure you feel YOU.
